REDUCED village admission includes entrance into the craft fair and village tours:  Adults, $6; Ages 6-12, $3; Under age 6, free.  (One-hour excursions aboard the Dixie Belle are reduced to $5.00 per person.)

More than 70 gifted artisans from across Kentucky, the South and Midwest will come together in a casual and historic setting during the 13th annual Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill Craft Fair.  This juried event boasts an assortment of crafts including exceptional pottery, jewelry, glass ware, woven rugs, needle craft, basketry, leather goods, floral design and Shaker reproductions. The Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill Craft Fair has been chosen in the past as one of the Top Five Festivals in Kentucky by participating artisans, and offers a truly unique setting in which to browse and purchase high quality, hand-made crafts.

This event is associated with the American Cancer Society. Throughout the 12 hour period cancer survivors, friends, and family will be entertained by a disk jockey, a luminary service, guest speakers, music, entertainment, and games. Different groups will walk for the cure consecutively throughout the night and early morning. Primitive camping spots are available along with a shelter house, restrooms, and a picnic and playground area.

Teachers, students, and visitors will love this interactive play about the first step towards western expansion.  Audiences will go back in time and meet a fictional family who is taking the brave journey to Kentucky. Your students will be led on the ultimate adventure through the Cumberland Gap.  Audiences will even get a glimpse into what everyday life was like in the late 1700’s.  The kids will have a blast while getting involved in the account of the capture of the Boone and Calloway girls.   Filtered throughout this 40 minute production will be song and dance from the early days on the frontier. After the play, the audience will get a chance to ask the actors questions.
